Dear York Hockey Community,

We are excited to share the appointment of Coach Ryan Walz as the Head Coach for the inaugural season of York Girls Hockey Program. With 25 years of Hockey coaching experience at the AAA, AA, and CSDHL levels, Ryan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. His extensive background includes years of leadership and serving as a Head Coach and Hockey Director, making him a perfect fit to guide this new chapter in York Hockey’s history.

Coach Ryan is committed to creating a balanced environment that blends hard work, fun, and a deep understanding of the game. He believes that development, excitement, and preparation are essential for his team’s success, and he is dedicated to fostering a culture of growth and achievement.

In addition to his coaching career, Coach Ryan has been a School Counselor at York High School since 2008. He also founded the York Girls Lacrosse program, which has become one of the top programs in the State every year. Coach Ryan is eager to start building a strong, dynamic, and successful program for York Girls Hockey, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all involved. We look forward to the exciting journey ahead under his leadership!
